Biography

PRO: The Titans selected Roger McCreary in the second round (35th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. The 5-foot-11-inch, 190-pounder is a physical, athletic cornerback that is known for always being around the ball. The Mobile, Ala., native was a two-year starter at Auburn and notched an impressive 22 passes defensed, including four interceptions, during his final two collegiate campaigns.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 
• In 2021, McCreary amassed a career-best 49 tackles and led Auburn with a career-high 16 passes defensed.
• In 2020, McCreary posted career-highs with three interceptions and seven tackles for loss as a junior with the Tigers.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• McCreary's pregame ritual is eating two plates of baked beans with sugar the night before a game. The tradition started when he got to Auburn and he says Bush's baked beans are his favorite.
• His uncle, Angelo James, was a defensive back for the Philadelphia Eagles.

COLLEGE:
• During four seasons at Auburn, McCreary appeared in 43 games with 23 starts and posted 135 tackles, five interceptions, 35 passes defensed, 10 stops for loss, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

AS A SENIOR (2021), started 12 games at cornerback and collected 49 tackles, an interception, a sack, two stops for loss and a team-best 16 passes defensed. Named a first-team All-America by The Athletic, Associated Press, ESPN and Reese's Senior Bowl. Was a Bednarik Award semifinalist.
• Against Alabama State (9/11), registered seven tackles and a 35-yard interception return for a score. Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week.
• At Penn State (9/18), collected four tackles and an interception.
• At Arkansas (10/16), notched five tackles and three passes defensed.
• Against Alabama (11/27), posted seven tackles and a team-best four passes defensed.

AS A JUNIOR (2020), started 10 games at cornerback and amassed 45 tackles, three interceptions, seven stops for loss, six passes defensed and a forced fumble. Named SEC Academic Honor Roll.
• Against Kentucky (9/26), notched four tackle, an interception and a forced fumble.
• At Georgia (10/3), posted two tackles and two passes defensed.
• At Ole Miss (10/24), registered an interception and thwarted a fake field goal attempt with a tackle for loss.
• At Mississippi State (12/1), recorded four tackles, an interception and two passes defensed.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019), played in 13 games with a start at cornerback and posted 36 tackles, an interception, 12 passes defensed, a stop for loss and a fumble recovery.
• Against Tulane (9/7), notched three tackles, including a stop for loss and a pass defensed.
• At Arkansas (10/19), collected a team-high five tackles and two passes defensed.
• At Louisiana State (10/26), made his first career start and registered a career-best 10 tackles and his first career interception.
• Against Georgia (11/16), recorded a tackle and two passes defensed.

AS A TRUE FRESHMAN (2018), saw action in seven games and registered five tackles and a pass defensed.
• Graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies in August 2021 from Auburn.

• Attended Williamson (Mobile, Ala.) High School.
• As a senior (2017), named first-team Class 5A All-State after collecting eight interceptions and more than 100 tackles. Also had more than 2,100 offensive yards and was named Optimist Club Player of the Year.
