Titans K Rob Bironas Joins 1,000-Point Club

INDIANAPOLIS (AP)  — Tennessee kicker Rob Bironas joined the NFL's 1,000-point club Sunday at Indianapolis.

Bironas came into the game needing just two points to become the second player in Titans history to achieve the feat. Former kicker Al Del Greco finished his career with 1,584 points (1,060 with the Titans/Oilers franchise).

Bironas became the 51st member of the club when he made his second extra point to give Tennessee a 14-12 lead with 7:29 left in the third quarter.

Indianapolis kicker Adam Vinatieri is the scoring leader among active players. He started the day with 1,952 points, ninth all-time, and tied a career high with four first-half field goals to move within 36 points of becoming the seventh member of the 2,000-point club.
