NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have added eight players to the team's 10-man practice squad, and the group includes some familiar faces.
Nose tackle Antwaun Woods, running back Khalfani Muhammad, quarterback Tyler Ferguson, tight end Jerome Cunningham, receiver Darius Jennings, safety Denzel Johnson, offensive lineman Tyler Marz and tackle Steven Moore agreed to terms with the team a day after being released as the team trimmed its roster to 53 players.
Muhammad was a seventh round draft pick by the team in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Woods, who had a productive offseason and training camp, started the preseason opener against the Jets. He spent last year on the team's practice squad before being promoted to the active roster late in the season.
Ferguson, who played at Western Kentucky and signed with the team as an undrafted free agent after the draft, gives the team an extra quarterback for practices. The Titans kept just two quarterbacks -- Marcus Mariota and Matt Cassel – on the active roster after placing Alex Tanney on Injured Reserve.
The team can have as many as 10 players on the practice squad.
The Titans face the Raiders in the season opener on Sunday.
