NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee Titans single-game tickets went on sale Friday, with three games selling out. The home opener on Sept. 9 against the New England Patriots, the Oct. 11 Thursday night game with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Nov. 4 game against the Chicago Bears have all sold out.

The Titans put just over 3,000 single-game tickets per game on sale Friday morning.

Tickets for the remaining five home games and the two preseason games have between 500 and 1,700 tickets still available. The Monday night game against the New York Jets and the Sept. 23 game with the Detroit Lions have the fewest tickets remaining, while the Dec. 30 game with Jacksonville and the Titans' two preseason games (Aug. 23 vs. Arizona, and Aug. 30) have the most available seats.

"We still have some work to do on a few of the games to keep our string of sellouts, but we have had a 97 percent renewal from our season ticketholders, and we are excited about that," said executive vice president of administration and facilities Don MacLachlan. "Based on a down economy and other factors, we probably had one of the most aggressive single-game ticket campaigns that we've had in recent years."

One of the new twists was two half-season ticket packages that included four regular season games and one preseason game each.

MacLachlan indicated those packages proved very successful in helping move the available tickets.
