NASHVILLE – Titans Coach Mike Vrabel held a press conference via zoom on Friday from Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park, one day after his team's 27-17 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Here's a look at the hot topics from today's call:

-Vrabel spent the first eight minutes of the call speaking on offensive coordinator Todd Downing being charged with driving under the influence and speeding early Friday morning.

"I have spoken to Todd, and I have spoken to (Amy Adams Strunk), and (GM) Jon (Robinson) and I have been in communication with her, and with the league," Vrabel said. "The league has policies with regard to these incidents, and we'll make sure that the league has all the information that they need."

Vrabel said he couldn't answer specific questions about the incident "out of respect to the legal process, and the process that the league has."

"I will say, however, that we all have a great responsibility as members of this community, and as coaches and players of this organization, as fathers and husbands and teammates, to make great decisions," said Vrabel, "and we understand that.

"… It's something that we are going to take very seriously. We are going to gather all the information that we can, figure out what the next step is, and do our best to move forward."

-Vrabel said defensive lineman Denico Autry will likely miss time with the knee injury he suffered on Thursday night against the Packers.

But Vrabel said the team feels fortunate the injury isn't a long-term injury.

"I would expect for there to be some time missed," Vrabel said of Autry. "I think that we really are lucky. I have seen Denico already today. There may be some time missed, but Denico usually finds a way to get back sooner rather than later."

-Vrabel said he was encouraged by the team's receiving corps against the Packers, especially by rookie Treylon Burks and his performance.

Burks had seven catches for 111 yards in the game, including a 51-yarder. Robert Woods had six catches for 69 yards, while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine had two catches for 28 yards.

Tight end Austin Hooper had a pair of touchdown catches for the Titans.

Vrabel said Burks has made great strides while complimenting the entire group.

"We all get confidence by repeated acts, repeated success," Vrabel said. "They have been working hard, and Ryan (Tannehill) did a great job distributing the ball. He was very accurate last night. He had the one mistake, but he was very accurate. (And) we made some contested catches. … There was really cool involvement from everybody."

-Vrabel said he was happy with his team's overall performance against the Packers.

The Titans took an early lead and never relinquished it at Lambeau Field. It came after a great week of prep work leading up to the game on a short week.

"I am extremely happy and proud of our players," Vrabel said. "Our body language was amazing, and they were into it."

-Vrabel complimented the play of defensive back Tre Avery, who stepped in and played 20 snaps after Kristian Fulton left with a hamstring injury.

Avery was credited with a tackle and two passes defensed.

-Aaron Brewer started in place of Ben Jones at center, and Vrabel gave him a positive review.

"I thought Brew really did a nice job," Vrabel said. "He stepped in there and battled, and did a nice job."

-Vrabel said he's hopeful the Titans will get some of their injured players back for the Bengals game on November 27.

The Titans plan to practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of next week leading up the Bengals game.

"We want to be able to give (the players) Thursday to spend with their families, and loved ones," Vrabel said of Thanksgiving. "And we'll get back to work on Friday."
