NASHVILLE – Titans General Manager Mike Borgonzi held a press conference on Tuesday at Vanderbilt Health Football Center.
The Titans have now trimmed their roster to 53 players, while also filling out the team's practice squad.

-Borgonzi said the Titans had to make some tough decisions to get the roster count down to 53 players, but also said the team will constantly evaluate the roster while not ruling out more potential changes.

-Borgonzi named cornerback Micah Robinson, receiver Elic Ayomanor and the recently acquired cornerback Melvin Smith Jr. as potential gunner options when asked about the absence of receiver Bryce Oliver, who was released. Oliver played the gunner role on special teams.
-Borgonzi complimented quarterback Will Levis, who was waived over the weekend. "Credit to Will," Borgonzi said. "Will did a tremendous job for us, throughout OTAs and camp here. He handled himself like a professional, was always good in the room. Came out every day and worked. At the end of the day, I wish him the best. We had a great conversation when he left, and I'll be rooting for him."
-Borgonzi said rookie guard Fernando Carmona has done a good job since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. He got a chance to run with the 1s and did a nice job with it, Borgonzi said. "He's everything we thought he'd be," Borgonzi said. "He's tough, and he's physical."
-Borgonzi said center Austin Schlottmann is smart, adds leadership, and has been a huge asset while playing well since joining the team during the offseason. Rookie Pat Coogan has done also done a nice job, per Borgonzi, while playing primarily at center in camp.
-Borgonzi said quarterback Hendon Hooker has picked up the entire offense, and made the most of his opportunities, acknowledging they were limited in camp. The Titans signed Hooker to the practice squad on Monday. "He's done a great job," Borgonzi said of Hooker. "That's why we kept him here."
-Borgonzi complimented back-up tackle Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, who made the team's 53-man roster. "He's done a really nice job developing here in the past year," Borgonzi said, while saying James Hudson III, who was claimed off waivers on Monday, "has been a third tackle who has started games in this league. We feel good about those guys."
