NASHVILLE – The Titans released their first 2025 Unofficial Depth Chart on Monday.
The word "Unofficial" is written in bold letters across the top, with the words, 'As of August 3, 2025' under it. Keep in mind the Titans aren't even two weeks into training camp, and they're over a month away from the regular season opener against the Broncos on September 7 in Denver.
So, yes, it's early.
On Wednesday, the Titans will travel to Tampa for a joint practice on Thursday, leading up to their preseason game on Saturday against the Buccaneers.
But, still, everyone loves taking a peek at the initial depth chart.
Here's a look at 20 things that caught my eye when I got my hands on it:
-Cameron Ward is listed as the team's starting quarterback. This is no surprise, of course. But it's in print, on the depth chart. Brandon Allen is listed as the No.2 quarterback, with Tim Boyle behind him.
-The Titans are listed with a three-receiver set, with Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson as the starters. Immediately behind each of them: Bryce Oliver, Chimere Dike, and Elic Ayomanor. Behind those six: Jha'Quan Jackson, Mason Kinsey, and James Proche II, then Matt Landers, Xavier Restrepo and TJ Sheffield.
-John Ojukwu is listed as Dan Moore Jr.'s back-up at left tackle, and Jaelyn Duncan is listed behind starter JC Latham at right tackle.
-Andrew Rupcich is Peter Skoronski's back-up at left guard, and Blake Hance is listed directly behind Kevin Zeitler at right guard. Rookie Jackson Slater is listed as third team at right guard.
-Lloyd Cushenberry is listed in parenthesis at center since he's on the team's PUP list. Corey Levin is listed as the starting center, with Sam Mustipher behind him.
-The Titans listed one tight end in the starting lineup, and it's Chig Okonkwo.
-Gunnar Helm is listed as the second-team tight end, ahead of Josh Whyle, David Martin-Robinson and Thomas Odukoya.
-A year ago, Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears were listed with a / separating them at running back. This year, Pollard is listed as the starter, with Spears behind him. Julius Chestnut, Kalel Mullings, Jordan Mims and Jermar Jefferson are next in line.
-The depth chart on defense includes a 3-4 look, but also with five defensive backs, including a nickel defensive back.
-Jarvis Brownlee Jr. is listed as a starter at one of the cornerback spots, with Darrell Baker Jr. lister as the starter on the other side. Roger McCreary is listed as the starting nickel back.
-L'Jarius Sneed, who is also on the team's PUP list, is listed in parenthesis as well.
-Gabe Jeudy-Lally is listed as the back-up both on the outside (behind Baker) and nickel (behind McCreary), a sign of his versatility.
-James Williiams Sr. is listed as a starter at inside linebacker, alongside Cody Barton.
-Cedric Gray and Otis Reese IV are listed as the back-up inside linebackers.
-Rookie Oluwafemi Oladejo is listed as Arden Key's back-up at edge rusher. Jihad Ward is listed as the back-up behind Dre'Mont Jones on the opposite edge.
-Rookie Kevin Winston Jr. and Mike Brown are listed as the back-up safeties, behind starters Amani Hooker and Xavier Woods.
-James Proche II is listed as No.1 on the depth chart at punt returner, ahead of Chimere Dike and Xavier Restrepo.
-Jha'Quan Jackson is listed at No.1 on the depth chart at kick returner, ahead of Dike and TJ Sheffield.
-Tight end Josh Whyle is listed as Morgan Cox's back-up at long snapper.
-Punter Johnny Hekker is listed as the starting holder, with quarterback Brandon Allen listed behind him.
