Coach Whisenhunt's Friday Practice Report

**

TITANS HEAD COACH KEN WHISENHUNT**

(on how players responded to a short practice week)

I guess we'll see Sunday. This is the first time we've gone through that, especially with the way that game went Monday night. It was a physical game in the conditions that they were in. As far as the way they practiced and worked this week, it's been good. You just never know.

(on Delanie Walker passing concussion tests)

He passed. I think it's comforting to know that we get Delanie (Walker) back. You just never know when they're in the protocol how that's going to come out, what the time's going to be. It's good that he's passed. How they go about doing it is a good thing.

(on if Chase Coffman will continue to be involved at tight end with Delanie Walker's return)

Yeah, I think so. You preach the message of, and I'm sure you guys have heard it, the next man up. He had an opportunity in that game. I think I actually said that last week, and he took advantage of it. For a guy that came in here late in camp and did some good things, you never know if they can do that little transition into the regular season. It's one game. You can't base your whole evaluation off just one game, but it certainly warrants more consideration.

(on Chase Coffman and Brett Brackett practicing as long snappers)

We've got a lot of guys doing different things.

(on other injuries)

Blidi (Wreh-Wilson) was limited today, and he'll be questionable, but we'll see. He did a nice job last week of getting in there and playing. (Marqueston) Huff didn't practice, so he'll be listed as doubtful.

(on how difficult it is to adjust to the Eagles' fast style of play)

I think it's hard to simulate it in practice. We try to, but that's just part of adjusting to what they do. You know what they do, but I don't think you get a real sense of it until you actually see it on the field because it's hard to tell from just looking at the tape. I think we've had coaches that have played them before, understand what they do, and it's just about being prepared for that tempo.

(on Derrick Morgan's injury status)

He'll be questionable, but he practiced today.

(on Mark Sanchez as the Eagles quarterback compared to Nick Foles)

I don't study their offense that way. I don't know what their reads are or what their expectations are, so I couldn't tell you. I think he's a veteran quarterback that's done a nice job from what I've seen. That's what you expect out of him.

(on if there are enough defensive backs for this week despite injuries)

We put a DB down last week, so he would just be active this week if those guys can't go.

(on if Zach Mettenberger's confidence has increased as he's played in more games)

Yeah, I think he's making progress from that standpoint. I think playing on a Monday night stage and playing well, like he did, certainly helps that. He's a confident young man anyway. That's what his makeup is, and I believe that's part of the reason why he's getting an opportunity to play, because of that. It's nice to see him do that in a game.
