Step by Step: Inside the Stairwell Build at the New Nissan Stadium | Stadium in :60

Project executive Kellen DeCoursey returns with another update on the new Nissan Stadium, highlighting progress on one of the project's most critical structural elements: the stairwells. Several major stairwells are now officially in place, providing essential vertical circulation for guests and fans, as well as emergency access for personnel such as firefighters. Pre-cast stair risers run from the field level to the upper concourse, while steel stairways extend from the upper concourse to the catwalks to complement the stadium's steel roof framing. Designed with dual switchback layouts, the stairwells allow for double the number of people to move through the space at any given time, with approximately 5,000 total steps planned for the new stadium.
