Biography

PRO: The Titans claimed Nazir Stackhouse off waivers prior to the start of the 2026 regular season to add depth to the defensive front. The 6-foot-4-inch, 327-pounder was signed by the Green Bay Packers as a rookie free agent in 2025 and appeared in 13 games with a start at defensive tackle as a rookie.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• Nazir's cousin, Jerry Stackhouse, played 18 seasons (1995-2013) in the NBA and was the former men's basketball coach at Vanderbilt.
• Stackhouse played on a youth team called the Atlanta Vikings with NBA All-Star Anthony Edwards Jr. and current Titans teammate Micah Robinson.
• Stackhouse has battled narcolepsy, a chronic neurological disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness and involuntary sleep episodes, most of his life. Shockingly, he fell asleep on the sideline during his first college game against Arkansas in 2020, in front of 16,500 in Fayetteville due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time. There's no cure for narcolepsy, but Stackhouse has worked hard to find the right prescription medication and he began using a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine while he slept.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Stone Mountain, Ga., native was signed by the Green Bay Packers as a rookie free agent on May 2, 2025.
• Waived by the Packers on Aug. 30, 2026.
• Claimed off waivers by the Titans on Aug. 31, 2026.

Was part of a Bulldog defense that ranked No. 9 in the country in total defense (289.1 yards per game) and pass defense (175.4 yards per game).
• As a junior (2022), started all 15 games, helping Georgia win its second national title in as many years after recording a career-high 33 tackles, three tackles for a loss and a blocked kick on special teams. Helped Georgia rank No. 1 in the nation in run defense (77.1 yards per game) and No. 5 in points allowed (14.3 points per game), including seven games where opponents were held to 10 or fewer points.
