Biography
PRO: The Titans signed Mohamoud Diabate during the 2026 offseason to add depth to the linebacker corps. The University of Utah product was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Prior to his arrival in Tennessee, the 6-foot-4-inch, 225-pounder appeared in 46 games with 18 starts for the Browns and collected 112 total tackles, eight stops for loss, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
TITANS TIDBITS:
• While with Cleveland, Diabate joined his teammate Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in Ghana for his annual football camp. Diabate is of Nigerian descent and is involved with NFL Africa initiatives.
• Diabate enjoys cooking and his specialty is West African cuisine.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Auburn, Ala., native originally signed with the Cleveland Browns as a rookie agent on May 12, 2023.
• Signed by the Titans as a free agent on May 23, 2026.
SEASON RECAPS:
2025 (17/6 - Cleveland): Played in a career-high 17 games with six starts at linebacker. Logged 45 tackles, three stops for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
• At Chicago (12/14), started at linebacker and collected a season-high eight tackles. Led the team with two stops for loss.
• At Cincinnati (1/4), started at linebacker and posted seven tackles.
2024 (13/11 - Cleveland): Played in 13 games with 11 starts at linebacker and tallied a season-best 65 tackles with five stops for loss. Added three passes defensed and five special teams stops. Placed on injured reserve on Sept. 11 after sustaining an injury in the season opener and missed the next four games.
• Against Baltimore (10/27), started at linebacker and tied for the team lead with eight tackles. Added a pass defensed and a tackle for loss in the Browns' win.
• At Pittsburgh (12/8), started at linebacker and collected a team-high seven tackles with a stop for loss.
2023 (16/1 - Cleveland): Played in 16 games with one start at linebacker as a rookie. Contributed primarily on special teams where he logged six special teams stops. Registered two tackles on defense. Was inactive for one contest. Made his NFL debut against Cincinnati (9/10).
• At Cincinnati (1/7), made his first career start at linebacker.
COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 49 games with 29 starts at Utah (2022) and the University of Florida (2019-21). Recorded 234 total tackles, 28 stops for loss, 11 sacks, three passes defensed, an interception and four forced fumbles in his college career.
• As a senior (2022), started all 12 games at linebacker at Utah and finished the season with 58 total tackles, a team-high 14 tackles for loss and five sacks. Added a pass defensed and a forced fumble in his lone season at Utah.
• As a junior (2021), appeared in all 12 games with 10 starts at linebacker for the Gators and registered 89 tackles and three tackles for loss. Transferred to Utah following the season.
• As a sophomore (2020), appeared in all 14 games with six starts at linebacker for the Gators. Ranked second on the team with 69 tackles to go with seven stops for loss, 1.5 sacks, two passes defesned, an interception and two forced fumbles.
• As a freshman (2019), appeared in all 13 games with one start at linebacker. Collected 18 tackles, five stops for loss and a forced fumble. Was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week honors after recording three sacks in a win over Vanderbilt.
• Graduated with a degree in sociology from Utah.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Auburn (Ala.) High School. Was a first-team All-State selection and a finalist for the Class 7A Lineman of the Year award as a defensive lineman. Was a four-star recruit on 247Sports and Rivals. Played in the 2019 All-American Bowl.
• As a senior (2018), recorded 68 solo tackles, including 11 sacks and 19 stops for loss.
• As a junior (2017), recorded 82 tackles, 10 sacks and 20 tackles for loss while helping Auburn to a 10-2 record.
• Son of Youssouf Diabate and Ami Diallo.
