Biography
PRO: The Titans signed Malik Herring early in the 2026 free agency period to add depth to the defensive front. The 6-foot-3-inch, 275-pounder was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a rookie free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft. After missing his entire rookie season recovering from an injury he sustained before entering the NFL, the University of Georgia product appeared in 28 games for the Chiefs from 2022-25.

• Herring won a pair of Super Bowl championships with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023 and 2024.

• During the past four offseasons, Herring has hosted a Fun Day and Football Camp in his hometown of Forsyth, Ga. The day begins with a free football camp at the Monroe Academy Campus, followed by a community Fun Day featuring food, water slides, bounce houses, gaming trucks, music and face painting.

2025 (2/0 - Kansas City): Saw action as a reserve in two games. Was inactive for six contests. Spent eight games on the Chiefs' practice squad. Was off the roster for one game.
2024 (12/0, 0/0 - Kansas City): Saw action as a reserve in a career-high 12 games and amassed 12 tackles, including a stop for loss and six quarterback pressures. Was inactive for the final five regular season contests and all three postseason games.
• At Las Vegas (10/27), collected three tackles, including a stop for loss.
2023 (7/1, 4/0 - Kansas City): Appeared in seven games with a start and compiled 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four quarterback pressures, two stops for loss, a forced fumble and a pass defensed. Was inactive for the final 10 regular season games. Saw action as a reserve in all four postseason contests.
• Against Denver (10/12), posted two tackles, including a half sack of Russell Wilson on the first play of the fourth quarter.
• At L.A. Chargers (1/7), tallied a career-high five tackles, including a sack, a forced fumble and a pass defensed. Dropped Easton Stick for a 10-yard sack in the fourth quarter.
2022 (7/0, 0/0 - Kansas City): Played as a reserve in seven games and notched six tackles with a fumble recovery. Was inactive for 10 regular season contests and all three postseason contests.
• At Indianapolis (9/25), made his NFL debut and collected two tackles.
• At San Francisco (10/23), notched a tackle and a fumble recovery. Pounced on a Jimmy Garoppolo fumble that was forced by a Chris Jones sack in the final stanza.
2021 (0/0, 0/0 - Kansas City): Placed on the reserve/non-fotball injury list on Aug. 31 and missed his entire rookie season. Suffered an injury during a Senior Bowl practice in the spring.
COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 52 games with 18 starts in four seasons at Georgia (2017-20) and collected 76 tackles, 13 stops for loss, four sacks, four passes defensed and a forced fumble.
• As a senior (2020), played in 10 games with eight starts at defensive end and tallied 20 tackles, two sacks, 4.5 stops for loss, 24 quarterback pressures and two passes defensed.
• As a junior (2019), appeared in 13 games with nine starts and collected 26 tackles, a half sack, five stops for loss, 18 quarterback pressures and two passes defensed. Was given Georgia's "Defensive Most Improved Player Award" following the season.
• As a sophomore (2018), saw action in 14 games with one start and tallied 23 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3.5 stops for loss and a forced fumble.
• As a freshman (2017), appeared as a reserve in 15 games and recorded seven tackles.
• Graduated with a degree in sport management from Georgia in 2021.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Mary Persons (Forsyth, Ga.) High School and was selected to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution 2016 Georgia's Super 11 team and the Class 4A All-State team.
• As a senior (2016), appeared in 13 games and totaled 81 tackles, 27 stops for loss, nine sacks and two forced fumbles helping guide the Bulldogs to the semifinals of the 2016 GHSA Class AAAA playoffs. Also added two touchdowns on three receptions.
• As a junior (2015), played in 10 games and tallied 74 tackles, 21 stops for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Also scored three touchdowns on three receptions.
