Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Joel Wilson to the practice squad during the 2025 season to add depth to the tight end room. The 6-foot-4-inch, 245-pounder originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Buffalo Bills in 2023. The Central Michigan product has also spent time with the Green Bay Packers, N.Y. Giants and Chicago Bears.

• Wilson played quarterback in high school for the Petoskey High Northmen. He transitioned to tight end after joining Central Michigan.

• Played in 34 games with 24 starts over five seasons at Central Michigan (2018-23). Recorded 82 receptions for 874 yards with 12 touchdowns in his college career. Was named All-Mid-American Conference third team in 2022.
• As a senior (2022), started nine games before suffering a season-ending injury. Was named third-team All-MAC after leading the team with six touchdown receptions and ranking second on the team in receptions (44) and receiving yards (445).
• As a junior (2021), played in all 13 games with 11 starts at tight end. Notched 367 yards and six touchdowns on 31 receptions.
• As a sophomore (2020), started three games in a five-game, COVID-shortened season. Recorded five receptions for 50 yards.
• As a redshirt freshman (2019), played in three games with one start, catching one pass for seven yards. Suffered an injury that forced him to miss the remainder of the season.
• As a true freshman (2018), played in four games and caught one pass for five yards before redshirting.

PERSONAL: 
• Played at Petoskey (Mich.) High School and lined up at quarterback throwing for more than 2,000 yards in his high school career.
• As a senior (2017), earned honorable mention Associated Press Divison 3-4 all-state honors as a quarterback after throwing for 11 touchdowns while rushing for seven more scores. Also played linebacker on defense.
