Biography

PRO: The Titans selected Sacramento State's Jackson Slater with the 167th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3-inch, 311-pound offensive lineman brings elite power, playing strength and athletic ability to the interior of the offensive front. A four-year starter at guard, Slater has the versatility to also slide inside to center. A native of Bellevue, Wash., Slater ended his Hornets career with 44 collegiate starts and three first team all-conference selections.

COLLEGE:
• Slater started 44 games during his four seasons (2021-24) at Sacramento State. He became just the fifth player in school history, and first offensive lineman, to earn three first team all-conference honors in their career. As a senior, he did not allow a sack or a quarterback hit during the season.

AS A SENIOR (2024), named first team All-America by the Associated Press and Stats Perform and was first team All-Big Sky. Became just the fifth player in school history, and first offensive lineman, to earn three first team honors in their career. Started the first nine games of the season at left guard until being sidelined by an injury. Did not allow a sack or a quarterback hit during the season. Played in the Senior Bowl.

AS A JUNIOR (2023), earned first team all-Big Sky honors for the second consecutive year. Joined former All-American Jon Osterhout (1998-99) as the only Hornet offensive lineman to do so. Started all 13 games at left guard. Was part of an offensive line which allowed just 16 sacks during the year.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022), named third team All-American by the Associated Press, fourth team by Phil Steele and was voted to the HERO Sports Sophomore All-America team. Was selected to the all-Big Sky Conference first team. Started all 11 regular season games at left guard before moving to left tackle for the two FCS Playoff games. Part of an offensive line which paved the way for a school-record 3,163 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns. Earned Big Sky all-academic honors.

AS A TRUE FRESHMAN (2021), started the final nine games at left guard. Made his collegiate debut at Idaho State and did not leave the lineup from that point forward. Was part of an offensive line which averaged 4.6 yards per rush attempt and allowed just 18 sacks during the season.
• Graduated with a degree in finance from Sacramento State in December 2024.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Newport High School in Bellevue, Wash., and played tackle, guard and center for the Knights.
• Was named the team's lineman of the year following the 2019 season and was a team captain his final two seasons.
• Played on the defensive line as a senior where he had 20 tackles in four games.
• Earned second team All-King County 4A honors as a sophomore and junior.
• Was a three-star recruit from 247sports.com.
• Also competed in baseball for two seasons, basketball for two seasons and track and field for one campaign.
