Biography
PRO: The Titans selected Gunnar Helm in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5-inch, 241-pound tight end is a sure-handed receiving threat and an agile ball-carrier after the catch. Helm appeared in 54 games in four seasons (2021-24) with the Longhorns including a career-high 16 starts his senior season. The University of Texas product will look to find a role in the Titans tight end room both on offense and special teams.

• Helm grew up near Denver in Englewood, Colorado and played a lot of pond hockey as a kid.
• He trained at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville preparing for the draft.
• Has a dog named Daryl.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Englewood, Colo., native was selected by the Titans in fourth round (120th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE:
Played in 54 games with 26 starts over four seasons (2021-24) at the University of Texas. Helm recorded 79 receptions for 1,022 yards and nine touchdowns in his college career. After three years of playing behind upperclassmen, he was a second team All-SEC and a John Mackey Award semifinalist as a senior behind a career-high 60 catches and seven touchdowns.
AS A SENIOR (2024), started all 16 games at Texas. Recorded a career-high and team-leading 60 receptions for 786 yards and seven touchdowns. Was named Second Team All-SEC and a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award, presented to the nation's most outstanding tight end.
• At Michigan (9/7), recorded a career-best seven receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown in the win.
• Against UTSA (9/14), notched a career-long 49-yard reception in the victory.
• Against Oklahoma (10/12), recorded five receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown in the blowout rivalry victory.
• Against Georgia (10/19), made six catches for 62 yards.
• Against Kentucky (11/23), hauled in five receptions for 51 yards and a career-high two touchdowns.
• Against Clemson in the first round of the College Football Playoff (12/21), recorded six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown to help the Longhorns advance to the quarterfinals.
AS A JUNIOR (2023), played in 14 games with six starts. Recorded 14 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Voted honorable mention All-Big 12 and selected Academic All-Big 12 second team.
• Against Oklahoma (10/7), hauled in a then career-high four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown.
• At Iowa State (11/8), made two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022), saw action in 13 games with four starts. Recorded five receptions for 44 yards. Selected Academic All-Big 12 first team. Returned one kick for 12 yards.
• Against Louisiana Monroe (9/3), made his first college start at tight end.
• Against Washington (12/29), caught one pass for then career-long 19 yard reception in the Alamo Bowl.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021), appeared in 12 games, primarily on the Longhorns' field goal unit. Was selected to the Academic All-Big 12 rookie team.
• Graduated from Texas with a bachelor's degree in corporate communications in December 2024.
PERSONAL:
• Played at Cherry Creek (Co.) High, where he was an All State and All-Centennial League tight end. The No. 3 prospect in the state of Colorado by Rivals.com., No. 7 in the state by ESPN and No. 14 in the state by 247 Sports. Caught 28 passes for 367 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior, helping lead Cherry Creek to the second of two consecutive undefeated seasons and back-to-back 5A state championships.
• Also played basketball and lacrosse in high school.
• Son of Patti and Blake Helm. Has three sisters - Madison, Morgan and Emerson.
