Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Drake Dabney as a free agent following a tryout during the 2025 rookie minicamp. The 6-foot-5-inch, 246-pound tight end played in 52 career collegiate games with 36 starts for Baylor (2020-23) and Texas Christian (2024). He is a long, athletic pass catcher that provides depth in the tight end corps and on special teams.

• Dabney played the saxophone for two years while in his middle school's band.
• As a youth, Dabney enjoyed exploring caves around his grandparents house in Texas and became an avid collector of crystal rocks.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Cypress, Texas, native was signed by the Titans as a rookie free agent on May 12, 2025.

COLLEGE:
• Dabney spent the first four seasons (2020-23) of his college career at Baylor where he played in 40 games with 24 starts at tight end and collected 65 catches for 873 yards with eight touchdowns. He transferred to Texas Christian for his final season in 2024 where he started all 13 games and logged 19 catches for 193 yards.
• As a graduate (2024), transferred to Texas Christian and started all 13 games at tight end. Hauled in 19 receptions for 193 yards.
• As a senior (2023), played in all 12 games with nine starts at tight end for Baylor and caught 33 passes for 552 yards with five touchdowns. His 552 receiving yards marked a single-season school record for tight ends.
• As a junior (2022), appeared in eight games with five starts at tight end for Baylor and totaled 16 catches for 173 yards. Selected second team Academic All-Big 12.
• As a sophomore (2021), saw action in all 14 games with eight starts at Baylor and recorded 10 catches, including two touchdowns. Named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team.
• As a true freshman (2020), played in six games, including two starts at tight end for Baylor and totaled six receptions for 57 yards with a touchdown.
• Earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Baylor.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Cy Ranch (Cypress, Texas) High School where he was a two-time All-District honoree and the nation's No. 25 tight end and No. 102 player in Texas according to ESPN.
• As a senior (2019), posted 35 receptions for 476 yards and seven touchdowns while helping guide the Mustangs to an 8-4 record.
• Also participated in baseball.
• Son of Dennis and Somona Dabney. Has one sister, Camry.
