Biography
PRO: The Titans acquired Darrell Baker Jr. off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts before the start of the 2024 regular season to add depth and experience to the secondary. The Georgia Southern product originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in 2022 before being released following training camp. The 6-foot-1-inch, 190-pound cornerback spent the majority his rookie campaign on the Colts' practice squad while appearing in three contests. In his first season with the Titans, Baker appeared in 17 games with nine starts at cornerback, both career-highs.
TITANS TIDBITS:
• Baker's parents, Darrell Baker Sr. and Johnetta Dixon, are both retired Army veterans. They served as honorary 12th Titans during the team's Salute to Service initiatives in 2024.
• Despite growing up and playing high school football in Hephzibah, Ga., Baker was born in Panama City, Panama.

• The Hephzibah, Ga., native was originally signed by the Arizona Cardinals as a rookie free agent on May 13, 2022.
• Waived by the Cardinals on Aug. 29, 2022.
• Signed by the Indianapolis Colts to their practice squad on Sept. 13, 2022.
• Signed by the Colts to their active roster from the practice squad on Dec. 16, 2022.

COLLEGE:
• During five playing seasons at Georgia Southern, Baker saw action in 53 games with 23 starts and tallied 111 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 17 passes defensed, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.
• As a graduate (2021), appeared in nine games with eight starts and registered 32 tackles, two tackles for loss, eight passes defensed and a forced fumble.
• As a senior (2020), was named third team All-Sun Belt Conference after starting all 12 games and recording 31 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, seven passes defensed and an interception.
• As a junior (2019), saw action in 12 games with three starts and tallied 23 tackles and two passes defensed.
• As a sophomore (2018), appeared in eight games and compiled six tackles with an interception.
• As a redshirt freshman (2017), saw action in all 12 games and tallied 18 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble. Made the Georgia Southern Honor Roll in the spring of 2018.
• As a true freshman (2016), redshirted. Made the Dean's List in the fall and was named to the Sun Belt Conference's Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a 3.0-3.49 GPA for the year.
• Graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies from Georgia Southern.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Hephzibah (Ga.) High School and played four years for Coach William Wardell Harrell.
• Also competed in track and field and was a state champion in 2016 in the long jump.
