PRO: The Titans selected Cameron Ward in the first round (first overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2-inch, 219-pounder is a crafty playmaker who operates well under pressure, throws with accuracy and velocity and commands the offense. As a rookie in 2025, Ward was the No. 1 overall pick and started all 17 games while throwing for 3,169 yards with 15 touchdowns. A native of West Columbia, Texas, he began his college career with two seasons at Incarnate Word before transferring to Washington State where he also spent two seasons. For his graduate year, he took his talents to the University of Miami, where he set multiple program records and became a Heisman finalist while leading the Hurricanes to their first 10-win season since 2017.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Ward was invited to New York City as one of four Heisman Trophy finalists in 2024.
• Named winner of 2024 Davey O'Brien Award, recognizing the nation's top quarterback. Was named ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year and was a first team All-ACC honoree while being named a consensus first team All-American.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• Ward was a zero-star recruit coming out of high school. The only Division I program to offer Ward a scholarship was Incarnate Word where he spent his first two college seasons. As a sophomore, he led the program to its first 10-win season and playoff run. He led the FCS in passing touchdowns in both of his first two seasons.
• Ward became the franchise's third player to be drafted with the first overall pick. In 1973, the Oilers selected defensive end John Matuszak with the top pick, and in 1978, they traded up to select running back Earl Campbell with the first selection.
• Ward is the third Miami product to be taken by the franchise in the first round joining Kenny Holmes (1997 - 18th overall) and Alonzo Highsmith (197 - 3rd overall). He is also the third Hurricane ever taken with the first overall pick joining Russell Maryland (1991- Dallas) and Vinny Testaverde (1987 - Tampa Bay).
• Ward is cousins with former Titans safety and 10-year NFL veteran, Quandre Diggs, as well as Quentin Jammer, who played cornerback for 12 seasons in the NFL.
• During his rookie season, Ward participated in Netflix's Quarterback, becoming the first rookie to be featured on the show. Cameras went behind-the-scenes to capture his journey both on and off the field throughout his first campaign.

COLLEGE:
• Ward began his career at Incarnate Word before transferring to Washington State and then ending his career at the University of Miami. In five total seasons on the field, he started in 57 games, completing 1,516 of 2,330 passes for 18,184 yards with 158 touchdowns. Totaled 399 rushes for 473 yards and 20 touchdowns. Ward finished his career with a 10-3 record at Miami, leading the Canes to their first 10-win season since 2017. Ward broke the record for Division I touchdown passes. He also set multiple program records at Incarnate Word and University of Miami. Ward was invited to New York City as a Heisman Finalist following his graduate season.
• As a graduate (2024), started all 13 games and set Miami's single-season record for passing yards (4,313), touchdowns (39) and completion percentage (67.2 percent, 305-for-454). Threw just seven interceptions. Was named a Heisman Finalist. Received the 2024 Davey O'Brien Award, recognizing the nation's top quarterback. Was named ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year and was a first team All-ACC honoree while being named a consensus first team All-American. • As a senior (2023), started all 12 games at Washington State and completed 324 of 486 passes for 3,732 yards and 25 touchdowns with seven interceptions. Also recorded eight rushing touchdowns. Had three 400-yard performances. Recorded multiple passing touchdowns in seven games. Named All-Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention. Transferred to the University of Miami following the season.
• As a junior (2022), started all 13 games at Washington State and completed 320 of 497 passes for 3,231 yards and 23 touchdowns with nine interceptions. Also recorded five rushing touchdowns. Had four 300-yard games. Named All-Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention.
• As a sophomore (2021), started all 13 games at Incarnate Word. Named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year, FCS All-American second team and a Walter Payton Award Finalist after leading UIW to the Southland Conference Championship, a 10-3 record and into the second round of the FCS playoffs. Recorded 384 completions on 590 attempts for 4,648 yards, 47 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. Set program records for single game passing yards (610), single-game passing touchdowns (seven), career passing touchdowns (71) and career passing yards (6,908). Transferred to Washington State after the season.
• As a freshman (2020), started in all six games at Incarnate Word during the spring COVID season. Completed 183 of 303 passes for 2,260 yards and 24 touchdowns with four interceptions. Also recorded two rushing touchdowns. Was named the Jerry Rice award winner given to the top FCS freshman. Also named first team All-Southland.
• Graduated in December of 2023 from Washington State with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities.

PERSONAL:
• Played at Columbia (Texas) High School. During both his junior and senior season he threw for more than 1,000 yards.
• As a senior (2019), completed 72 of 124 passes for 1,070 yards and seven touchdowns. Also rushed for four touchdowns. Helped team become 2019 co-district champions with a 9-1 record.
• Earned first team all-district as a quarterback, honorable mention all-state football and All-Southern Brazoi County first team quarterback.
• Also named two-time all-district MVP in basketball and finished as the program's all-time leading scorer.
• Selected honorable mention all-state academically.
• Son of Calvin and Patrice Ward, who have never missed one of his games. Has two older sisters, Aaliyah and Chantel.
• His mother, Patrice, is a retired special education teacher and former head basketball coach at Columbia High. His sister, Aaliyah, who started as a point guard for her mother from 2009-12, took over as the head basketball coach in 2020.
• Ward's other sister, Chantel, set the Houston Christian records in the indoor and outdoor shot put before transferring to San Jose State. She is now an assistant track and field coach at Houston Christian.
