WR Mike Evans

231112-final

(On what it was like to come back and put forth the performance he did after having a few drops early in the game)

"It was huge. We just kept playing. That's what this game is about – adversity, and overcoming that. That's what life is about. You know, we just kept fighting, and we were able to make some plays down the stretch to win it."

(On what it meant to stop the four-game losing streak)

"It's a lot of weight off your shoulders. This feels great. Everybody in the locker room is having fun. You know, four in a row is tough, especially with our talent, and what we believe that we can do. We definitely believe that we can be contenders and be a playoff team. This is a good start for us."

(On the NFC South still being there for the taking)

"[It is] kind of like last year. We were [in] first place for a while, floating around .500 and then we ended up winning [the division] at the end. It's a similar situation this year, but we have more time. Hopefully, we can go on a win streak and separate ourselves."

(On how it felt to get a win at home and preparing for the San Francisco 49ers game)

"Tough game. Last year, we went to San Francisco and it wasn't pretty, so we are looking to avenge that and play some of our best ball because we're going to need it against a team like 'San Fran.' But it was great to see our fans – they keep showing up, and they keep believing in us. That means a lot."

(On what he saw from the defense)

"I've always said, our defense has been our rock since I've been a part of this franchise, and they always bounce back. We just have to help them more offensively because we have the players to do it."

(On his highest motivation at this point in the season)

"I mean it's a lot. You can't just choose just one. It's a blessing to be in this position. I said it earlier [in] an interview, my friend DJ Hayden passed away, you know, my NFL brother. He was a really great guy, a really good player at the University of Houston, so prayers up to him, his family and all of his loved ones. It's a blessing to be here, and you've got to go hard and attack it each and every day, because [it is] not promised."

(On having a short memory)

"Playing football in general, you're going to have low-lights, because you're going up against the best of the best and things happen so fast. You have to keep playing. You can't let it keep you down, so that's my mindset all the time. Nobody likes to mess up, drop passes or miss opportunities – you just have to keep playing."
