Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward is among the nominees for NFL Rookie of the Week, for his Week 16 performance vs Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday.
CAM WARD vs KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ON SUNDAY:
- Completed 21-of-28 passes for 228 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
- His 122.3 passer rating was his best through 15 NFL games. It was his second consecutive game with a passer rating above 100.
- His 122.3 passer rating was the franchise's third best since 1970 by a rookie quarterback with at least 20 attempts in a game. In that span, only Marcus Mariota (135.7 at New Orleans on Nov. 8 ,2015), Will Levis (130.5 vs. Atlanta on Oct. 29, 2023) and Vince Young (127.7 at Buffalo on Dec. 24, 2006) fared better with 20-plus attempts.
- Recorded his third consecutive game with two touchdown passes. With his 13th touchdown pass of the season, a one-yarder to Chimere Dike in the third quarter, he moved past Vince Young (12 in 2006) for the second-most in franchise history by a rookie, behind only Marcus Mariota (19 in 2015).
- Threw a screen pass to Tyjae Spears that went 34 yards in the second quarter, and later on the same drive, he was credited with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Chig Okonkwo.
- On the opening series of the second half, he completed a 25-yard pass to Elic Ayomanor, a 30-yard pass to Chimere Dike and a one-yard touchdown pass to Dike.
- Converted a third-and-10 in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard completion to Elic Ayomanor to set up a touchdown on the next play.
- With 2,866 passing yards in 2025, he set the record for the most passing yards in franchise history by a rookie quarterback. Marcus Mariota previously held the mark with 2,818 passing yards in 2015.
