NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans helped official healthcare provider Saint Thomas Health host its fourth Leadership Development Institute ("LDI") conference with a theme of "New Year's Eve" that recognized its fiscal year-end for more than 350 associates from across Tennessee at Nissan Stadium.

"We don't have a challenge we can't commit to," said Karen Springer, chief operating officer of Saint Thomas Health. "It's about our mission to give our hearts and talents and serve those in need. It's going to those in need, seeing challenges and helping with challenges. We are committed to helping people live healthier lives and transforming the healthcare experience."

Saint Thomas Health is the leading faith-based health care system in Tennessee and is a part of Ascension Health, the largest not-for-profit health care system in the United States. Saint Thomas is committed to healing and dedicated to service, especially to persons who are poor or needy, reflecting the spiritual core of their mission, vision and values.

"We want to help and define being well in communities," said Bernie Sherry, chief executive officer, Nashville inpatient operations of Saint Thomas Health. "I think about how we built our network of hospitals, getting close to patients in the community and helping to define being well in communities.  We have developed a system of healthcare that leaves no one behind."

The quarterly LDI program provides information to cultivate continued excitement about their Ministry, its purpose and reviews goals and objectives.  Similar to how the Titans huddle at the end of the fourth quarter, they are huddling the Saint Thomas Health team for their fourth quarter.

"Find and focus on strengths in associates and work on weakness," said Elizabeth Lemons, chief operating officer of Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. "Help people recognize their strengths and develop those skills.  Make this a place where associates want to work and where physicians want to come and practice medicine."

Titans cheerleaders Evony and Kaitlin, and mascot T-Rac stopped by to celebrate the great year, pose for pictures and sign autographs.

The day concluded with a New Year's countdown that included a remix of Auld Lang Syne, noise makers, festive hats, confetti drops, silly-string and a toast to welcome the new fiscal year.

Saint Thomas Health is committed to taking care of patients and their families physically, emotionally and spiritually. Their mission is to provide holistic care, which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities.

"Give" to others and you "get" so much more in return. "Nothing shall be Impossible."
