NASHVILLE – The Titans on Wednesday moved nose tackle T'Vondre Sweat to the team's Designated to Return to Practice list.
This designation opens up a three-week window for Sweat to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
Sweat is eligible to return to practice today.
Sweat suffered an ankle injury in the team's season opener at Denver, and he was among the team's inactives for the following week's game against the Rams. Sweat was poised to return to action the following week against the Colts, but re-injured the ankle in practice, and he was placed on Injured Reserve back on September 20.
Also on Wednesday, the Titans signed defensive back Alex Johnson to the team's practice squad.
The Titans return to action on Sunday vs the New England Patriots.
