NASHVILLE – The Titans have been awarded linebacker Anfernee Orji off waivers.

Orji was recently waived by the Saints and the Titans, first in the NFL's claiming order, claimed him.

To make room for Orji, the Titans waived running back Jabari Small.

Orji, who played at Vanderbilt, initially joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Orji appeared in 16 games with the Saints last season, with two starts. He played 82 percent of the Saints' special teams snaps (353), and ranked second on the team with six special teams tackles. Orji also played 146 snaps on defense.

In his first start at Kansas City on Oct. 7, Orji registered a career-high 10 tackles.

At Vanderbilt, Orji led Vanderbilt in tackles three straight years, and he started 32 straight games to end his college career.

Small, who played at the University of Tennessee, spent last season on the practice squad after initially joining the team as an undrafted free agent.
