NASHVILLE — The Titans have agreed to terms with tight end Deon Yelder.
Also on Sunday, the Titans waived tight end Gabe Holmes while also placing linebacker B.J. Bello on Injured Reserve. Bello was injured in Friday night's preseason opener at Atlanta.
Yelder, who played at Western Kentucky, initially signed as an undrafted free agent with the Saints following the 2018 NFL Draft.
After being waived, Yelder signed with the Chiefs and he played from 2018-2020 in Kansas City. Yelder was signed by the Washington Football team earlier this offseason, but was released last month.
After playing in three games for the Chiefs in 2018, Yelder appeared in nine games for the Chiefs in 2019, including one start. He played in 14 games with the Chiefs in 2020, with one start, mostly contributing to special teams.
In 26 career games, including two starts, Yelder has 10 catches for 86 yards.
At Western Kentucky, Yelder played in 30 games. As a senior, he posted 52 receptions for 688 yards and seven touchdowns.Â
The Titans return to the practice field on Sunday.
