Titans Add Two to Practice Squad, Release Three Others

roster-moves

NASHVILLE – The Titans have added running back Mekhi Sargent and defensive lineman Eli Ankou to the team's practice squad.

The Titans waived Sargent from the active roster over the weekend.

Ankou, born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, played collegiately at UCLA. He initially signed with Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2017, and he's spent time with the Jaguars, Browns, Colts, Cowboys, Bills, Falcons and Steelers in the NFL. Ankou has played in 27 career games and has recorded 31 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his career. In 2020, Ankou was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 7th round draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Ankou was released from the Steelers practice squad earlier this month.

Meanwhile, the Titans have released defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson, linebacker Dylan Cole and center James Murray from their practice squad.

The Titans face the Colts on Sunday in Indianapolis.
