NASHVILLE – The Titans have acquired defensive lineman Solomon Thomas in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys.
Thomas arrives in Tennessee in a seventh-round pick swap in April's NFL Draft. The Titans now pick No. 225 in the seventh round, in exchange for pick No. 218.
Thomas will be reunited with head coach Robert Saleh for the third time in his career, first with the 49ers, and then with the Jets. He'll also be reunited again with defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, his coach with the Jets, 49ers and Cowboys.
The third overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Stanford, Thomas has played with the 49ers (2017-2020), Raiders (2021), Jets (2022-24) and Cowboys (2025) in his career.
Thomas has tallied 230 tackles, 18.5 sacks, three forces fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six passes defensed.
Thomas played in all 16 games, with two starts, for the Cowboys in 2025. He was credited with 27 tackles, three tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits and one pass defensed last season.
Thomas has been named a Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee four times in his NFL career, including last year in Dallas. He has been recognized for his work in the community and initiatives to support youth and mental wellness.
