NASHVILLE – Chimere Dike is ready for Week One.
And, the Titans are ready to put their trust in Dike, the team's fourth round pick out of Florida who is first on the depth chart as a punt returner and kick returner.
"I feel ready," Dike said. "The work I put in during training camp, the work I have put in throughout my career, it's a role that I really enjoy and I am thankful that Coach Bones (ST coordinator John Fassel) and coach (Brian) Callahan had trust in me to put me back there, and I am going to try and prove it every week and take it one game at a time."
The Titans drafted Dike and Elic Ayomanor in the 2025 NFL Draft, and both are set to have significant roles to start the season, beginning on Sunday against the Broncos in Denver.
Ayomanor is listed as a starter at receiver alongside veterans Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett, and Dike is in line to help as a returner, and at receiver after showing promise in practices, and games.
Dike averaged 23.6 yards per return on 20 kickoffs while at Wisconsin, and he averaged 11.5 yards on 26 punt returns at Wisconsin and Florida.
In the preseason, Dike returned four kickoffs for the Titans, averaging 27.8 yards, and he averaged 6.0 yards on two punt returns.
Dike said he's counting the days until his NFL debut.
"It's super exciting," Dike said. "To see the work you've put in since spring, obviously growing up playing football this is your dream to play at this level. So, to have the opportunity to play my first NFL game – my parents will be there, some of my family will be there to support me – it is going to be a really special moment."
