NASHVILLE – It was a busy day at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park.

One day after the Titans reduced the roster to 53 players, the team signed players to the practice squad.

Also on Wednesday, the locker room was open to media for the first time since the end of the 2019 season. (Interviews were done outside the past two seasons because of the pandemic).

Plus, Titans GM Jon Robinson and HC Mike Vrabel both held press conferences this afternoon.

Let's hit on the happenings of the day in a quick-hitting fashion:

-Titans defensive lineman Denico Autry was on the practice field for the first time in a long time, which was a pleasant sight for the team as the regular season approaches.

"Good to see him back out there," Vrabel said. "He did some good things, and we'll get moving forward with him."

-Robinson said the team plans to sign receiver Cody Hollister to the team's active roster to replace receiver Racey McMath, who is headed to Injured Reserve. Here's the link to that story: CLICK HERE.

-Robinson neither confirmed nor denied the team's reported plans to host receiver Josh Gordon on a visit. The GM said the team will be working out a lot of players and he didn't want to talk about workout guys unless they make the team.

-The stretch and individual portion of practice was open to reporters, and several players weren't spotted. Among them: defensive back Elijah Molden, defensive back Ugo Amadi, outside linebacker Bud Dupree, guard Nate Davis, and defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand.

-Linebacker Zach Cunningham and offensive lineman Dillon Radunz were decked out in yellow non-contact jerseys.

-The Titans traded for Dennis Daley earlier this week, and we got our first look at the former Carolina Panthers offensive lineman.

-Receiver Dez Fitzpatrick was among those waived on Tuesday, and back on the practice squad on Wednesday.

-Malik Willis is the only QB on the 53-man roster behind starter Ryan Tannehill, but he has no plans to relax now.

-Meanwhile, quarterback Logan Woodside was also signed to the team's practice squad.

-The Titans currently have five running backs on the team's 53-man roster, and undrafted rookie Julius Chestnut is among them.

-Linebacker Chance Campbell also made the initial 53-man roster.

The Titans aren't scheduled to practice tomorrow – they'll do meetings and conditioning only. The next media availability will be on Monday, as preparations for the season opener against the Giants get cranked up.
