Quick Hits on the Titans From Wednesday of Commanders Week

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to ramp up preparations for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders in Landover, Maryland.

Here's a look at some Titans topics in quick-hitting fashion:

-Titans safety Amani Hooker (concussion), who missed Sunday's game vs the Colts, was back on the practice field on Wednesday. He was listed as limited on the Injury Report. Hooker remains in the team's concussion protocol and still has some hurdles to clear before being cleared to play on Sunday. We'll have to monitor this one throughout the week.

-Titans linebacker Zach Cunningham, who suffered an elbow injury vs the Raiders and didn't play vs the Colts, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans defensive back Ugo Amadi (ankle), who has missed the past two games, was back on the practice field on Wednesday and listed as a full participant on the Injury Report.

-Titans receiver Treylon Burks, injured in Sunday's game in Indianapolis, did not practice on Wednesday. He's listed with a toe injury.

-Titans outside linebacker Bud Dupree, who played just nine plays vs the Colts before aggravating his hip injury, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi (neck), who has missed the past two games, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans linebacker Joe Jones, injured in Sunday's game in Indianapolis, did not practice on Wednesday. He's listed with a knee injury.

-Titans fullback Tory Carter was added to the Injury Report with a neck injury and listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's session.

-Linebacker Monty Rice, designated for return to practice off PUP earlier in the day, practiced for the first time this season on Wednesday. The designation opened a 21-day window to make a decision on Rice, and he remains on the team's PUP list.

-Titans defensive lineman Sam Okuayinonu, signed to the 53-man roster after being promoted from practice squad on Tuesday, practiced on Wednesday.

In the locker room before practice, Okuayinonu talked about how excited he was to get the news.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart was in the locker room clutching the football he intercepted on Sunday, and it had a bunch of signatures on it. With a smile, he explained what he's going to do with the football.

Tart was pretty feisty on the practice field, as coach Mike Vrabel found out first-hand on Wednesday.

-Running back Julius Chestnut and defensive back Shyheim Carter, signed back to the practice squad on Tuesday, practiced with the team on Wednesday. Carter has been assigned No. 23 while Chestnut is back in No.36 (although he wore No.24 on Wednesday).

-The Commanders released their first Injury Report of the week on Wednesday and it looked like this: S Percy Butler (quad), T Sam Cosmi (finger), WR Jahan Dotson (hamstring), LB Milo Eifler (hamstring), and WR Curtis Samuel (illness) did not practice. Charles Leno (shoulder) and LB David Mayo (hamstring) were limited. CB William Jackson (back) and DT Daniel Wise (ankle) were full participants.

-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Thursday and Friday before traveling to the Washington, D.C., area for Sunday's game vs the Commanders.
