Quick Hits After Thursday's Titans Practice

quick-hits-12-18-25

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Bryce Oliver enjoyed a solid training camp, and at the start of the 2025 season, the Titans receiver seemed poise to make an impact.

Oliver was instead sidelined back in September with a knee injury, and he hasn't played since. Initially Oliver was among the team's inactives, before he was placed on Injured Reserve.

But Oliver is back practicing this week, and he's remained optimistic.

"The waiting part was long," Oliver said on Thursday. "What has it been, 13, 14 weeks? But I love being here, and I took this time to try and help other guys and … I became a better student of the game, and I became a better person. I leaned back into my faith more.

"Being out, I just think it's been a blessing in disguise. I'm coming out of this thing a better person, and a better teammate."

It remains to be seen if Oliver plays again this season.

Oliver said he'll be ready if that's the case.

"My time is still coming, man," he said. "I haven't even reached my potential yet. … I'm ready to play football, I love football, and I am just here to do my job, contribute in any way possible."

-Earlier this week, the Titans placed Oliver, edge Femi Oladejo, and edge Ali Gaye on the team's Designated to Return to Practice list.

This designation opened up a three-week window for all three players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

All three players practiced on Thursday.

-Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons for the first time addressed his home being burglarized over the weekend, when the team was in California.

Simmons got emotional when talking about his family, and the troubled youth potentially involved:

I chatted with Restrepo after practice:
