Quick Hits After Friday's Titans Practice

201127-brown

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday for final preparations for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Some quick hits on the latest developments …

-Receiver Adam Humphries, who suffered a concussion against the Bengals and has missed the team's last three games against the Bears, Colts, and Ravens, has been ruled out for Sunday's game. Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Humphries is still working through the concussion protocol and he doesn't expect him to be cleared despite practicing this week.

-Safety Kenny Vaccaro (concussion) practiced in full again on Friday. Vrabel said earlier in the plan is for Vaccaro to meet with an independent doctor at the end of the week as he works his way through concussion protocol, but he's not listed with a designation on the Injury Report, which is a good sign.

-Punter Brett Kern, added to the 'Designated for Return' list on Tuesday, practiced again on Friday. He's worked throughout the week and appears set to return for the first time since suffering a wrist injury at Cincinnati. Kern has missed the team's last three games. He'll need to be activated to the roster at some point on Saturday.

-Cornerback Adoree' Jackson, who was activated from Injured Reserve earlier this month after spending three weeks on the team's 'Designated for Return' list, did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled out for Sunday's game.

-Tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee), who has missed the past two games, has also been ruled out for Sunday's game. Pruitt was on the practice field on Friday.

-Guard Rodger Saffold (ankle), who missed Sunday's game at Baltimore, practiced again on Friday on a limited basis. On a Zoom call on Friday, Saffold called himself a 'game-time decision' but said he feels he's headed in the right direction. He's listed as questionable on the team's Injury Report.

-Receiver A.J. Brown (knee) practiced on Friday after missing time earlier in the week and is good to go.

-Center Ben Jones (knee) practiced on Friday. Jones has been listed as "limited" all week, and he's listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

-Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison (ankle), who did not play vs the Ravens, also practiced on Friday and is good to go.

-Tackle Dennis Kelly (knee) returned to practice on Friday after missing earlier in the week and is good to go.

-Cornerback Malcolm Butler (rib) practiced on Friday as well and is good to go.

-Offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse was on the practice field for the first time after being signed to the team's practice squad earlier in the day. Newhouse (6-4, 330) is a veteran of 10 NFL seasons, logging 129 games played and 81 starts. Last season he played 15 games, including nine starts (8 at left tackle/1 at right tackle) for the New England Patriots. He was decked out in No.78.

-Running back Darrynton Evans, added to the 'Designated for Return list last week, is in his second week working his way back to action. This designation opened up a 21-day window for Evans to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

-Cornerback Kristian Fulton and cornerback Tye Smith, added to the 'Designated for Return' list this week, were both spotted at today's practice as well.

-The Colts released their final Injury Report on Friday and it looked like this: LB Bobby Okereke (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game after not practicing all week. C Ryan Kelly (neck) G Quenton Nelson (back/ankle), WR Zach Pascal (knee/foot), QB Philip Rivers (toe) and S Khari Willis (ribs/shoulders) and LB Anthony Waller (ribs) are all listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

-The Colts placed defensive tackle DeForest Buckner on the Reserve/COVID-19 List on Wednesday and he reportedly won't play on Sunday.

-The Titans are scheduled to travel to Indianapolis on Saturday for Sunday's game vs the Colts.
