NASHVILLE – The Titans hit the field on Thursday for the final day of the team's three-day minicamp.
Here's a look at some observations from today's session:
-The Titans worked in the red zone for several periods.
-Titans quarterback Cam Ward wrapped up his first NFL offseason, and it included some ups and downs.
Ward threw a pair of interceptions on Thursday – linebacker Cody Barton got him in the 7-on-7 period, and cornerback Davion Ross picked him off in a team period.
Ward also threw a bullet across the middle that was caught for a touchdown by tight end David Martin-Robinson, and he connected with receiver Bryce Oliver for a score.
Ward spent a lot of time after practice working on his conditioning, while also doing some extra throwing.
He didn't say he was punishing himself, but some wondered.
On the day, Ward was 3-of-6 in the 7-on-7 period, and 6-of-9 in the team period, making him 9-of-15 on the day.
In the three minicamp practices, Ward completed 42-of-58 passes in the 7-on-7 and team periods combined.
-I asked Barton about picking off Ward for the second time this offseason, and he was fired up about it.
-Ward has had fun trash-talking, but the defenders have been giving it right back to him.
After Ward was picked off by Ross, a big group of defenders, including edge Arden Key, taunted the QB with the Zombieland celebration that Ward made famous at the University of Miami.
It was kind of funny.
-Receiver Bryce Oliver was the offensive star of the day.
Oliver caught three touchdown passes on Thursday, including the one from Ward, and two from quarterback Will Levis.
Oliver, who was wearing Calvin Ridley's No.0 as the two swapped unis for the day, got open for a deep ball late, and sprinted into the end zone.
Here's Oliver after today's session:
-Running back Julius Chestnut made a nice one-handed catch for a score on a ball thrown by Ward.
-Quarterback Will Levis was 3-of-3 in the 7-on-7 period, and 2-of-5 in the team periods on Thursday, including the beautiful deep ball to Oliver.
-Quarterback Brandon Allen went 1-of-2 in 7-on-7, and 0-of-1 in the team periods.
-Quarterback Tim Boyle went 2-of-2 in 7-on-7 and 1-of-2 in the team periods.
-In addition to Oliver, running back Tyjae Spears, tight end David Martin-Robinson and tight end Chig Okonkwo all had three catches each on Thursday.
-Cornerback Jermari Harris had a nice break-up on a Ward pass intended for Chimere Dike.
-Safety Amani Hooker had a beautiful PBU on a Ward pass that was in the hands of Martin-Robinson, but wrestled out.
-Cornerback Amani Oruwariye had a nice PBU on a Levis pass intended for Xavier Restrepo.
-I noticed Femi Oladejo and T'Vondre Sweat in the backfield for what probably would have been a sack.
-Center Lloyd Cushenberry went through the stretch period once again.
-Guard Kevin Zeitler practiced again.
-Safety Kevin Winston Jr., linebacker Otis Reese and receiver Colton Dowell did not practice.
-Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed did not practice.
-Tackle Dan Moore did not practice.
-Tackle Jaelyn Duncan did not practice.
-Receiver Tyler Lockett went through individual drills.
-Friends and family members of players and staff were in attendance on Thursday.
Next open practice: Training camp, date TBD.
