Sorry that my Thursday journal entry is so late. As you can imagine, the days are getting busier as we get closer to game day!
Thursday morning started with our team breakfast, which has turned into quite an inspirational meeting to start off every day. It's a chance to reflect on the season and our impact to the league in general. It's also an opportunity to learn more about our teammates and the E2K staff. After breakfast, we headed to Aloha Stadium for our pregame rehearsal. The stadium was decked out in AFC and NFC banners and Pro Bowl colors everywhere. Along the interior of the stadium was each organization's team emblem....I ran straight to the Titans logo for my photo opp!
Then it was time to take the field and mark our spots for the pregame routine, player intro lines and the national athem.
We also had the opportunity today to get our Pro Bowl rings. This is a team tradition that started years ago where each team gets a ring commemorating their year at the Pro Bowl. It is so great to bring back such a special memory....we ordered them today and will receive them prior to leaving the island. How awesome is that? The man who makes the rings is so nice and has each Pro Bowl squad photo in his shop from all of the past years. It was great to walk down memory lane and see all of the ladies who have represented the Tennessee Titans in the past!
Later in the day, I was able to get my first opportunity for FREE TIME! The lobby of the hotel is fabulous and all, but it was great to finally go touch the sand of Honolulu :-) The night ended with a team dinner at Dave and Busters, which was great!
