Coach Fisher catches up with former Titans RB Eddie George during last year's charity softball game.

The 2008 Comcast "Jeff Fisher & Friends" Charity Softball Game, presented by Regions Bank, will be held on Saturday, June 28 (7 p.m.) at Greer Stadium in Nashville.

The event, which has raised more than $300,000 to date, will benefit Mercy Ministries, Second Harvest Food Bank, Soles4Souls and several other local charities.

"The game is an opportunity for us to give back to the community as well as offer Titans fans and their families a chance to see our players and coaches in a casual and fun environment," said Fisher, who carries a 6-1 record into this year's game. "The players look forward to this event every year. They really enjoy the night out competing against one another. The locker room ribbing goes on all year long." Past "Friends" have included Vince Young, Chris Hope, Chris Brown, David Thornton, Kevin Mawae, Chris Henry, Steve McNair, Eddie George, Frank Wycheck, Drew Bennett, Brad Hopkins, Kevin Carter, Craig Hentrich, Rob Bironas, Keith Bulluck, Coach Alan "Music City Miracle" Lowry, Coach Steve Watterson and many more.

Again this year, the Nashville-based charity, Soles4Souls™ Inc., the global organization dedicated to providing free footwear to people in need all over the world, will conduct a shoe drive at the charity softball game. Soles4Souls (www.giveshoes.org) is asking for your 'gently worn' shoes to make a tangible difference in someone's life.  It is estimated that Americans have 1.5 billion pairs of unworn shoes lying in their closets.
