Collins Forsees Opening 2010 Season With Titans

NASHVILLE, Tenn. —** Tennessee Titans quarterback Kerry Collins forsees spending the 2010 season with the team, even though he's scheduled to make $5.5 million.

Collins, expected to back up quarterback Vince Young, says coach Jeff Fisher has indicated he's welcome on the team and he looks forward to the new season.

Collins made his comments to The Tennessean after practice at Baptist Sports Park last week.

Veteran Chris Simms and rookie Rusty Smith are also on the roster.

The 37-year-old Collins demurred when asked what he would do if asked ot take a paycut, saying he doesn't deal in hypothetical situations.
