Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Ryan Hayes in the 2026 offseason to add depth to the offensive line. The 6-foot-6-inch, 303-pounder is an athletic, quick tackle. The Traverse City, Mich., native was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2023 and has also spent time with Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons.

• In high school, Hayes was a standout three-sport athlete. He was named Big North Conference Basketball Player of the Year and the Big North Conference Pitcher of the Year as a junior. He was also named Male Athlete of the Year his senior year by Traverse City Record Eagle.

• The Traverse City, Mich., native was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round (238th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.

2025 (0/0 - Atlanta): Spent the entire season on the Falcons' practice squad.

2024 (1/0 - Miami): Played in one game as a reserve and suited up but did not play in the regular season finale.  Spent the offseason with the Dolphins, but was released prior to the first game of the season. Was signed to the Dolphins' practice squad ahead of Week 10 and spent seven games in that capacity.
• At Houston (12/15), saw action as a reserve on special teams.

2023 (0/0 Indianapolis; 0/0 - Miami): Spent the offseason with the Dolphins before being waived on Aug. 29 and claimed by the Colts off waivers.  Was inactive for two games with the Colts before being released Sept. 19 and signing to the Dolphins' practice squad on Sept. 22. Was activated from the practice squad for one game, but did not play.

COLLEGE: 
• Saw action in 40 games with 29 starts over five seasons (2018-22) at Michigan. Was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and part of two Joe Moore Award winning-offensive lines (2021-22), the first back-to-back winner in history.
• As a graduate (2022), started 12 games at left tackle and contributed on special teams. Was named second team All-Big Ten by the coaches and third team by the media.
• As a senior (2021), started all 14 games at left tackle. Part of the unit that was honored with the Joe Moore Award, given to the top offensive line in the nation. Was named second team All-Big Ten by the coaches and honorable mention by the media.
• As a junior (2020), started two games at left tackle.
• As a sophomore (2019), appeared in 12 games along the offensive line with two starts.
• As a freshman (2018), did not see game action. Transitioned from tight end to offensive line.
• Graduated from Michigan with a degree in psychology.

PERSONAL:  
• Attended Traverse City West (Mich.) High School and was coached by Tim Wooer. Played tight end, defensive end and punted during his career.
• As a senior, posted 26 tackles, six tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks despite being double and triple teamed throughout the year.
• On offense, caught 20 passes for 311 yards as a junior and added 24 receptions for 515 yards with five touchdowns as a senior.
• Also played basketball and baseball. Was named Big North Conference Basketball Player of the Year and the Big North Conference Pitcher of the Year as a junior
• Named Male Athlete of the Year by the Traverse City Record Eagle in early 2017.
• Son of Sue Arthur and Mike Hayes. Mike played football at Central Michigan and Sue is a member of Central Michigan's Hall of Fame after a stellar basketball career.
