Biography
Dale Thompson enters his 19th NFL season in 2026 and his 16th season with the Tennessee Titans after spending the first three years of his career in the player personnel department with the Seattle Seahawks.
Thompson originally joined the Titans as a Pro Scout in 2011. He was promoted to NFS Scout in 2014, elevated to West Coast Area Scout in 2017, and advanced to National Scout in 2018. In 2024, Thompson was promoted to Assistant Director of College Scouting, where he assists in overseeing the club's college scouting operations and evaluation process.
After beginning as an intern with the Seahawks in 2008, Thompson worked as a Pro Personnel Assistant for two seasons. In that role, he evaluated Seattle's future opponents and assessed talent across professional football leagues, including the NFL, Canadian Football League and Arena Football League. He also assisted with free agent workouts and visits while monitoring league transactions.
Thompson attended Santiago High School before continuing his football career at the University of Southern California, where he played tight end for Head Coach Pete Carroll. During his collegiate career, the Trojans appeared in two national championship games, captured four Pac-10 championships, won two Rose Bowls, and claimed the 2004 national championship.
He received his degree in sociology from USC in 2008.
A native of Corona, Calif., Thompson now resides in Nashville with his wife Lauralee and their two daughters, Layla and Olivia.
