NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota isn't making any promises about his mobility leading up to Sunday's game against the Browns.

While playing through a hamstring injury in Monday's win against the Colts, it was clear Mariota was limited in his movement – at one point he slid instead of running -- while doing most of his work in the pocket.

Will that change this Sunday? Time will tell, but Mariota is making progress, judging from the fact he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.

"I feel good," Mariota said. "As more time passes by, it's an opportunity to feel better and better, and I do."

Mariota admitted it was a "little different" playing most the game in the pocket against the Colts.

"I have done it before," Mariota said. "My rookie season was kind of similar a couple of times, as well as even in college. It is not something that is brand new. It is a little different and something that doesn't happen very often, but it is part of the game. You have to be ready to go. I thought the guys around me did a great job and I thought we did a good job of executing."

Mariota was limited in practices leading up to the game against the Colts.

"He had a good day, a real good day," Mularkey said of Mariota. "If he continues to do what he did today, he should be very close, real close (to himself). He did a lot today, which was good to see."

Mariota completed 23-of-32 passes for 306 yards and a touchdown against the Colts. He responded well to adversity, and made some big throws in the second half as the Titans rallied. He had a big one-yard gain on a quarterback sneak on a fourth-and-one.

Browns coach Hue Jackson said on a conference call today his defense is preparing to face a weapon in Mariota.

"I think he's the guy that can run fast, that can also stand in the pocket and make plays," Jackson said. "There's nothing that Mariota can't do. He's a tremendous player, he leads that football team and leads that offense."

Mariota has faced the Browns in each of the past two seasons. In those two games he's thrown for 541 yards (270.5 per game) with five touchdowns and an interception, with a passer rating of 111.4. Mariota has rushed for 83 yards in the two meetings.

But Mariota said this is a different Cleveland defense, one that presents some challenges.

"It is a whole different scheme,'' Mariota said. "There's a lot of different players. We just have to get ready the best we can. It is a shorter week, but coming out today, the way the guys practiced, it was huge and I think it will help us on Sunday."
