NASHVILLE – This Titans season isn't where anyone wants it to be at this point.
But after Sunday's 26-9 win over the Chiefs, the Titans have now won two out of three games.
And, as Meat Loaf famously sang, two out of three ain't bad.
Now it's time for Christmas, the New Orleans Saints, New Year's, and the Jaguars.
Yes, there's a lot going on as this 2025 season nears an end.
Thanks to all for keeping this mailbag going.
Let's dive in and talk about all the happenings …

Hoping you get all you wish for this year! #TitanUp
Jim: Good to see Hashtag Howard back in here! I think you're pretty spot on. When I look at this team, I see reasons to be optimistic. Cam is playing better, and he's providing reasons to believe he could be the guy. The running game has been impressive. Guys are playing with a lot of heart. But this team clearly needs a lot more work. Sure, there have been positive signs, but let's face it, the past two wins have been against a 3-12 Browns team and a Chiefs team without Patrick Mahomes. Nonetheless, the team is getting better, and I like the fight the players have shown. Moving forward I still want to see more help at receiver, at edge rusher, and at cornerback, just to name a few of the most glaring needs to me. You're right the team needs to nail the head coach hire and make good decisions in the draft and free agency.

Question: Good day to ya Jim. Always appreciate your work. Been a fan since 99, I myself was born in Chattanooga so when the Titans came it was like a dream come true. Not so much a question more of a huuuuge shout out to our special teams. Man have these guys played their tails off this year. Again been here since 99, the last few yrs ugh has been the best to say about our special teams. It is absolutely fun to watch this group, give coach bones all his flowers, the players a well. Merry holiday to you and yours good sir.
Jim: I agree, Jason. And, as Howard mentioned, I'd love to see coach John "Bones" Fassel back on the staff in 2026. I realize the next head coach might want his own special teams coordinator, but I'm hoping the decisions makers here vouch for him, and John wants to stay.
Rick Foltz from Harrisburg, North Carolina
Question: Hey Jim. Happy Holidays to you and yours. I am going to leave 2025 with a positive comments.
I am fortunate enough to be passionate about a team that has given me highs and lows. Fortunate enough where I can express my feelings in a country without persecution.
I have been a fan like most for a long time. Looking forward to 2026, and am thankful to all you do Jim. On that note Happy Holidays and Go Titans
Jim: Hi Rick. I appreciate you taking the time. Best wishes to you and Happy Holdays.
Harry Prentiss from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina
Question: Merry Christmas 🎄🎅Jim! It is wonderful how you keep us informed and calm us. These last few games our team has played much better and with smart drafting like last year and a couple good free agents I've got a good feeling about our rebuild. It was a great present to see a win at home! Merry Christmas to all our fans as well!!!
Jim: Hi Harry. Say hello to Marv, the other half of the Wet Bandits. Sorry, couldn't resist. It's that time of year and I've seen Home Alone probably 100 times. The vibes are definitely better around here after the first home win in a long time. Merry Christmas to you.
Eli Patnesky from Pittsburgh, PA
Question: Hi Jim, I was thinking about if we should try to trade for a WR To go along side Dike and Ayomanor. This is a crazy idea but, Tyreek Hill is requesting to be released by the Dolphins. So we could try to trade for him or if Miami cuts him we can try to sign him. Let me know what you think about this idea? Hope the Titans have a good rest of the season. Merry Christmas and TITAN UP!
Jim: Hey Eli. I don't think the Titans need to trade for one. Heck, they landed Dike and Ayomanor in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. I trust Mike Borgonzi can identify a guy in free agency, or more talent in the 2026 NFL Draft. I agree it should be a priority. I'm not so sure about the Tyreek Hill idea…
Adrian Lopez from Caracas, Venezuela
Jack Walker from Calabasas, California
Question: Hey Jim, that was fun to watch! Cam is indeed getting better. I think we could still be looking at a decade of Cleveland Browns-like mediocrity but any win is a good win even if KC laid down, which they did. Head coach will steer this ship in the new direction... Hope it's the right direction.
Jim: Sounds like you're a real optimist, Jack.
Marlon Dillon from Memphis, Tennessee
Question: I just saw Jon Gruden repping Titans gear on his page. Is he the new head coach?
Jim: Hi Marlon. I saw that. I just think Gruden has always been a big Titans fan.
Alejandro Tableau from Miami, Florida
Question: Hi Jim. Did you see Cam's throw to Dike rolling to his left and throwing to the left sideline at a ridiculous angle? On the money? How many people in the world can make that throw? Rhetorical. Not many. Cam also does not throw interceptions if anyone is paying attention. Yes, I am a homer, and yes, I am a UM grad (how about that Canes Defense against A & M - now let's get Rueben Bain, Jr.,), but I trust by now all of these "Cam isn't better than Levis" fans, or Cam is a bust people, realize the Titans are lucky to have Cam. He is a rookie and playing better than many established veterans who have much better support. Get him the support he deserves (including working my boy Restrepo in :) ), and the Titans will be winning meaningful games before you know it! Happy holidays Jim!
Jim: Hi Alejandro. Yes, I saw it. It was a hell of a throw. I think everyone would have to agree Cam has gotten a lot better during the course of the season. It's a great sign looking ahead to 2026 and beyond.
Happy Holidays everyone! Have a great week!
