NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Following a successful pilot program during two preseason home games, the Tennessee Titans and WeGo today announced that all WeGo bus routes, including the four that stop directly in front of Nissan Stadium and also shuttle downtown parkers into the stadium, will be free to the public on Titans home gamedays.
The expansion of the program into the NFL regular season is part of the Titans' multifaceted transportation initiative that helps fans identify their transportation plan to games ahead of time.
"We're excited to expand and enhance our collaboration with WeGo into the full Titans season," said Burke Nihill, Titans President and CEO. "Free bus service is an incredible addition to the many ways to get to Titans home games. We appreciate the support of WeGo, MNPD, NDOT, and all our other community partners in helping Titans fans make their plan before they come out to the game."
"This improved bus service will help fans get closer to Nissan Stadium for Titans games," said Steve Bland, WeGo CEO. "That, combined with later hours on our most frequent routes, makes taking WeGo Public Transit to a Nashville event an even better option for everyone."
"This is a great opportunity for Titans fans to experience riding WeGo Public Transit to and from Nissan Stadium, and it's a free way for anyone to explore a new part of our city on game days," said Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell.
There are four bus routes that connect to Nissan Stadium on event days, stopping at South 1st St. and Woodland St.:
Westbound passengers can board the bus on the north side of Woodland Street and eastbound passengers can board on the south side near the Juvenile Justice Center.
Fans who park downtown can also choose to ride WeGo to the stadium by boarding buses at the Elizabeth Duff Transit Center at WeGo Central or at bus stops on Union Street, across from the Metro Courthouse. In addition to lots around downtown, paid garage parking is available at WeGo Central.
In addition to free bus service, there are many other convenient ways to get to and from the game:
- Thousands of nearby parking spaces through preferred parking partner, PMC
- Dedicated walking routes on Woodland St., Korean Veterans Blvd., and Pedestrian Bridges
- Scooter valet on the north and south sides of the stadium
- WeGo Titans Express train starting in Lebanon with stops in Hamilton Springs, Martha, Mt. Juliet, Hermitage, and Donelson
- In-Shuttle park-and ride system
