NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans on Tuesday promoted WR/KR Devon Wylie from the practice squad to the active roster and signed C/G Kevin Matthews.

The Titans placed Jake Locker on season-ending injured reserve and waived T Pat McQuistan, and brought back LB Brandon Copeland as a member of the practice squad.
Wylie (5-foot-9, 187 pounds) will have an opportunity to return kickoffs and punts in place of WR Damian Williams, who suffered an injury to his hip area during a punt return Sunday against Jacksonville.
Wylie was drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by Kansas City. He appeared in six games last season with six receptions for 53 yards, returned five punts 26 yards and returned nine kickoffs 191 yards (21.2). Wylie was waived by the Chiefs after training camp and spent time on the practice squads of Arizona and Pittsburgh before the Titans added him to the practice squad Nov. 5.
Wylie played college football at Fresno State, where he played in 44 games, tallied 98 receptions for 1,327 yards and eight touchdowns. Additionally, he averaged 13.5 yards and scored two touchdowns on 41 punt returns and 20.8 yards on 16 kickoff returns.
Matthews first joined the Titans as an undrafted rookie in 2010. He played in 17 games and made three starts for Tennessee from 2010-12. Because he is capable of playing center or guard, Matthews is likely to be the "swing" guy, a reserve interior offensive lineman when the Titans host the Colts Thursday. Chris Spencer is likely to start at center while Brian Schwenke recovers from an ankle injury.
Matthews, son of offensive line coach Bruce Matthews, spent the 2013 training camp with Washington.
