NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Titans partnered with Fox 17 and hosted their 8th annual Job Boot Camp at Nissan Stadium this week for Nashville's most elite employers.

The event is designed to help employers find the right team members and help job seekers find the job they've always dreamt of and additionally provides the platform for on-site interviews and valuable face-to-face time with human resources decision-makers all at one central location.

"We are proud to bring a job fair of this size and quality to the Nashville market and help our viewers find the best job for them and businesses to find their ideal employees." Noreen Parker, FOX 17 General Manager said.

"We wanted to partner with one of the premier job finding events here in the mid-state and this is it!" said Fox 17 Nashville Morning News Anchor, Jennifer Waddell.  "What a great location - beautiful facility!  There are 35 premiere vendors here – that is huge!  This is not the kind of job fair where you show up and 4 or 5 companies are hiring.  There are people that are going to walk out of here today by 2 p.m. with an offer in-hand. "

There are many advantages of attending a job fair which include maximizing your time and effort, and saving gas. It's almost impossible to visit 35 employers in one day in any other setting outside of a job fair.  By attending the job fair, you can also learn about career paths that you may never otherwise have considered.

"Fox 17 has been an outstanding corporate partner of the Titans for several years now," said Brad McClanahan, Titans Director of Marketing.   "They simply have great people who truly care about the Nashville community.  This is a great event they put on for those who are seeking employment and we are proud to host them at Nisan Stadium."

When you send an employment application through the mail or online, it can take days or weeks for the employer to contact you for an interview or you're just another piece of paper tossed onto a pile of other applications.  At job fairs, many of the employers have hiring managers' onsite to conduct on-the-spot interviews and depending upon how well the interview goes, you may receive a job offer that same day.  By attending a job fair, you put a face on that application. You can formally introduce yourself to the employer and create a great first impression.

"Fox 17 started doing this Job Camp in 2014 and what is great about it is that it gets the conversation going," said A. J.  Hilton, morning news anchor, Fox 17 Nashville.  "The more people we have working on the economy here in Nashville, the better off we are going to be.  We want to start that relationship, we want the employers on one side to find their next great hire and we want people looking to advance their career to be able to find that next great job."

"You think about all the people who have struggled to find a job.  There are people that will walk out of here today with a job for their families and their future." said Waddell.
