Titans Halftime Quotes

HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER

(on the first half)

We started slow in the running game, but we got things settled down. We picked it up a little bit and made some plays. I thought we threw it well and caught it well. Penalties were our nemesis in the first half, and that is always your concern. We had two on special teams and then we had two on defense. Then, that last one on defense gave them three points. So we have a lot of things to learn from. Overall, the defense got a key turnover and of course on offense, we got that nice drive to finish the reps with the first team offense. In the second half, we're going to play a lot of people and play to win the game.

QB KERRY COLLINS

(on the rhythm of the starting offense in the first quarter)

I thought we got off to a good start tonight. We executed our offense and played fast out there. We converted a few third downs, which was a good thing, and made some plays in the passing game. It was nice to get that touchdown drive in there. Overall, I thought it was a good start.

(on the experience of being at the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend)*

This is my third Hall of Fame Game, and each time I come back here, it gets a little more special. This game in particular is very special for our organization and Mr. Adams, with this being the 50th anniversary of the AFL. It's a great honor to be a part of this special night.

S MICHAEL GRIFFIN

**

(on how he thought the starting defense performed)*

I thought we got off to a little bit of a slow start out there. We've only been in camp for a little over a week, and we're already playing in our first game, so that's an adjustment. They put together a few drives on us, but we held our own when it mattered. They only had three points in the first half, so we were holding our own.

**

(on his interception)*

It was good communication out there. We got a good, strong pass rush from the guys out front. They forced a bad throw, and I just made a play on the ball and brought it in.

(on if they were prepared for Buffalo's no-huddle offense)

We thought they might do that because we haven't been in camp that long, and they've been in camp for something like two weeks. I thought we did a good job considering the circumstances and the fact that we have a new defensive coordinator.
