NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with their fifth-round selection (151 overall) LB Avery Williamson and sixth-rounder (178 overall) QB Zach Mettenberger on contracts.
Williamson was a two-time, second-team All-SEC selection during his time at Kentucky. In each of his final two seasons, he registered more than 100 tackles as the Wildcats' middle linebacker. During his college career, he totaled 296 tackles, two interceptions, four sacks and 10 tackles for loss. The Milan, Tenn. product earned all-state honors as a high school linebacker.
Mettenberger started his final two seasons at LSU; and as a senior year, he ranked fourth nationally in passing efficiency (171.4), while throwing for 3,082 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Tigers. For his LSU career, he tallied 5,783 passing yards and 35 touchdowns in 20 games.
