NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have added a third quarterback to the team's 53-man roster – veteran Austin Davis.

Davis, a seven-year veteran, has spent time with the Rams, Dolphins, Browns, Broncos and Seahawks during his NFL career. He's played in 16 career games, and has completed 236-of-378 passes for 2,548 yards and 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Davis (6-2, 221) played collegiately at Southern Miss, and he spent the 2017 season as quarterback Russell Wilson's back-up in Seattle.

Also on Tuesday, the Titans placed offensive lineman Kevin Pamphile on Injured Reserve. Pamphile, signed this offseason after playing previously at Tampa Bay, started the past two games for the Titans at tackle.

Davis, who has 10 starts in his NFL career, joins the Titans at a time when the team is dealing with some uncertainty at the position.

Back-up quarterback Blaine Gabbert remains in the concussion protocol after being injured in Sunday's win over the Jaguars.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota stepped in to replace him, and guided the Titans to a win in his first appearance since suffering an elbow injury in Week One. Coach Mike Vrabel said on Monday the team believes Mariota is improving, and the hope is he'll be able to do more in practices this week and start on Sunday.

During the 2014 season with the Rams, Davis had back-to-back 300-yard passing games in versus Dallas and Philadelphia.

In college, Davis set single-season and career school records at Southern Miss for touchdowns, passing yards and completion percentages, passing Brett Favre in nearly every major statistical record in school history.

On Tuesday, the team also made some moves on the practice squad.

The team parted ways with quarterback Logan Woodside and defensive lineman Deon Simon, and signed receiver Kalif Raymond and offensive lineman Ian Silberman.

Raymond (5-9, 160) entered the NFL with the Broncos in 2016 as an undrafted free agent from Holy Cross. He has spent time on the practice squads and the 53-man rosters of the Broncos, New York Jets and New York Giants, totaling one reception for 12 yards, 29 punt returns for 210 yards (7.2 avg.) and 20 kickoff returns for 408 yards (20.4 avg.).

Silberman (6-5, 305) was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round (190th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He appeared in one game as a rookie and later spent time on the practice squads of the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Indianapolis Colts and Browns. He re-joined the Raiders on the active roster for the final two weeks of 2017 but did not play. Prior to his time in the NFL, Silberman played one season at Boston College after spending four years at the University of Florida.

The Titans face the Eagles on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
