Obviously tough sledding, difficult offensively for you guys today, but you grinded it out and made plays when you had to.
Yeah, I think we just have to be better in the second half. Between making plays, false start on me. We've just got to get on the right page. It starts with me. I have to be better and just got to keep moving forward.
Fairly or unfairly, there's been a lot of talk about leadership within this this locker room amongst the players. But, you know, veteran leaders stepped up today, guys like Jeffery     (Simmons) and Denico (Autry). Offensively, obviously, Derek had a pretty solid game offensively, yeah. What does that say to see these veteran leaders step up and help you guys get a win when you needed it?
I's awesome to see. I mean, our defense, played a hell of a game They did an amazing job. They got after them several ways, and they had a hell of a game and kept us in the second half when things were going the wrong way, they were the ones that kept us in it. So, credit to them. They deserve this win. It was amazing by them. And then Derrick (Henry), it's fun to see him get going and we just got to find ways to get him going and get back to under center and just let him roll. When we do that, you can see him go. And we got to just get better, making sure that we can get him into those longer strides. And then once he gets a full head of steam, you know there is no stopping him.
Four and seven, obviously you guys got still more work to do, but you get a divisional game here next week, I mean. What's going to be the mindset?
Mindset is, I mean, we just got to get into this next week and dive into it. We got to get the back-to-back win and we got to get something rolling so to get back in this fight and it starts this week.
Better in the red zone today, 2-for-2. What was the difference?
I couldn't tell you. I think we were efficient, we stayed ahead of the chains. We just got it in the end zone. and that's the main goal. I think prior to that, we'd slow down. We would miss a play. We were getting longer down and distances. It's a lot easier for the defense for them especially for us to get behind the chains. But if you stay ahead of the chains, you into those first, second-and- short, they've got to defend the pass and the run. Now they're on their heels and that gives us an advantage. So, I think we just got to keep it going.
