NASHVILLE – A.J. Brown is one of the top young receivers in the NFL.
Now, the Titans star is ready to welcome one of the top prospects in this year's draft class into the league.
In a new commercial leading up to next week's NFL Draft, Brown encourages Smith, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2020 as college football's top player last year at the University of Alabama.
"What's up DeVonta? It's A.J.," Brown says at the start of the clip, which leads to Smith being doubted about his size.
Smith also won the Biletnikoff Award in 2020 after hauling in 117 passes for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns. While he's considered one of this year's top wide receiver prospects, Smith has been scrutinized because of his size. Smith is 6-1, 170 pounds.
"Don't let no one call you small," Brown says in the commercial. "Keep being yourself, keep playing big. You put the work in. You work, and work, and then work some more. You turned yourself into an absolute beast."
The clip ends with Brown, who has 122 catches for 2,126 yards and 19 touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons, smiling while offering Smith one final tidbit:
"Just don't do it too bad against the Titans, bro."
