NASHVILLE – Titans General Manager Mike Borgonzi held a pre-draft press conference on Thursday.

A look at some of the highlights from the presser:

-Borgonzi started off the press conference paying tribute to Dave McGinnis, who passed away earlier this week.

"He had an impact on so many people in the National Football League, so many people within this organization, so many people in this room," Borgonzi said of McGinnis. "He was passionate about this team, about this organization, the city of Nashville. I had a lot of good conversations with Coach Mac over the past year, particularly on the practice field last year, just talking about life, football. I learned a lot from him (about) team building, culture, dealing with the right type of people. He is certainly going to be missed by a lot of people here and I just want to thank him for everything he did for us. Thanks, Coach Mac."

-The first question of the press conference was about Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, and whether he's worth taking at No.4 in the draft.

"I certainly think there's a cluster of players up there that we really like," Borgonzi said. "In particular, Jeremiyah, I think he is a special player. … His speed, he can do things out of the backfield as a receiver. But there's also a group of edge guys that are really good, too. I think we'll have some really good options there at 4."

Borgonzi once again reiterated the plan to take the best player available when the team is on the clock.

-Borgonzi said the team is looking for "impact players" when you are picking early in the draft.

"And, who is going to have the most impact?," he said. "Who is the best player available?"

-Asked if he's open for business regarding a potential trade, Borgonzi didn't rule anything out.

"It depends," he said. "I think we're going to remain flexible and fluid where we're at. Because I do think there's a handful of players that we really do like at 4."

Borgonzi said a lot of potential options have been discussed about how far the team could move back and still get a quality player. Borgonzi said he knows the team will have good options at 4.

-Asked about Ohio State edge rusher Arvell Reese, Borgonzi said "he's one of the more explosive players that I've ever seen. In terms of his burst, and his ability to close, his explosion on contact … he has all the tools to do it." Borgonzi said Reese could be used in a number of ways, and "you certainly see the flashes of him being a dominant pass rusher."

Asked about Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles, Borgonzi said his testing numbers were incredible and "he's tall and rangy" and because he's a former safety he has a great feel in coverage. "His length can take up a lot of space on the field," Borgonzi said.

-Borgonzi said the team has been aware of Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain's automobile accident from 2024 for a while, and talked to him multiple times about it. "We feel good about the person," Borgonzi said. "People make mistakes, but we really enjoyed having him in here. … We feel good with Rueben."

How much of this year's class will be tailored to help quarterback Cam Ward?, Borgonzi was asked.

"I think you are always looking to support the quarterback," Borgonzi said. "And, certainly protection is one (area), getting him playmakers is another thing. So, to answer your question, yes, that is important."

-Speaking of Ward, Borgonzi said things are "trending that way" for Ward to throw in the upcoming minicamp.

-Borgonzi said there's good interior line depth in the draft, from day one to days two and three.

-Borgonzi said "it's a deep receiving class, and the top end is really good. I feel good about the options that we have up there on day one, and even two and three. I think there are some really good options there."

Borgonzi said the team is ready for the draft, which begins next Thursday.

"We could draft tonight if we had to," he said.
