From the NFL Combine: NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah Has the "Perfect Fit" for the Titans at No. 4 in NFL Draft

INDIANAPOLIS – NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah likes something about all the top edge rushers in this year's draft class.

But there's one player in particular Jeremiah believes would be a perfect fit for the Titans.

Here at the NFL Combine, Jeremiah detailed why he thinks that player is Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain.

"Bain is a bully," Jeremiah said. "He's a very physical, tough, rugged player.

"I think there's a good chance that could be the perfect fit for Tennessee. Him and Jeffery Simmons, Robert Saleh, trying to build a real physical group. Jacksonville is a physical team, Indy wants to be a physical team, Houston wants to be a physical team.

"So, I think Bain in Tennessee makes a lot of sense."

The Titans are currently scheduled to pick fourth overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.

In his latest mock draft, Jeremiah tabbed Bain to the Titans at No.4, after he had the Raiders taking Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza at one, the Jets taking Texas Tech edge David Bailey at two, and the Cardinals taking Miami tackle Francis Mauigoa at three.

Jeremiah has another edge rusher – Ohio State's Arvell Reese – as his third best prospect in the NFL Draft, but doesn't have him going until seventh in the NFL Draft (to the Commanders).

On Wednesday, Titans General Manager Mike Borgonzi gave his quick impressions of the three edge rushers being talked about most from this year's class – Bain, Reese, and Bailey.

"They are all a little bit of a different flavor – all really good players," Borgonzi said. "Bain is more of your power guy, who can kick down inside. Reese is obviously versatile, has done a lot of different things, has played off the ball. He has played as a pass rusher, he has length, he has explosion. And then Bailey had a ton of production this year off the edge. He has length, he has speed coming off the edge. So, all three of those guys are really good players."

Bain (6-3, 270) led all of FBS with 83 pressures in 2025 while racking up 20.5 sacks and 33.5 tackles for a loss in three seasons at Miami.

Bailey (6-3, 250) tallied 14.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for a loss in 2025 at Texas Tech after playing three years at Stanford.

Reese (6-4, 243) racked up 69 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss and 6.5 sacks in 14 starts at Ohio State in 2025.

Jeremiah, like Borgonzi, said all three players provide something different.

Jeremiah said he has Bailey ranked first about the edge rushers because he thinks he's "the most polished of the pass rushers, and he has elite juice off the edge."

"I think he's safe, but offers upside," Jeremiah said.

Jeremiah said Reese has the "most upside, but it's going to take some tutelage to develop him as a rusher if he's going to make that full time transition."

Then there's Bain, who on Wednesday said he had a great formal meeting with Tennessee.

"When you look around at some of the top guys in the league right now," Jeremiah said when speaking on Bain, "Tuli Tuipulota (of the Chargers) is a great example – I think he had 13 ½ sacks, Khalil Mack has made a career out of rushing with that style of rush. Bain brings an identity and a temperament to it."
