Coach Munchak's Oct. 11 Practice Report

**

**

HEAD COACH MIKE MUNCHAK

(on injuries heading into Sunday's game)

Shonn Greene's out. (Zaviar) Gooden will be out. (Patrick) Bailey will be questionable. Blidi (Wreh-Wilson), questionable. (David) Stewart, questionable. Sammie (Hill) will be questionable. (Derrick) Morgan is questionable. (Sammie Hill) did some work, so that's one of those things where he's got a couple more days. He did a little work yesterday, a little more today—limited, but encouraging. Coty (Sensabaugh) is questionable. He practiced, but he's questionable. (Jackie) Battle and Griff (Michael Griffin) are fine.

(on David Stewart's injury)

It's just the injury. That's kind of going to be a weekly deal for him. He hurt the calf, but he had other things going on. It seems like it's either the leg, the ankle, or the calf. This week he couldn't practice until Friday, but he did everything today, so we felt good about that. Unfortunately for him, he's been playing hurt all season. I think it's just something that'll take a while for him to get over the hump. Maybe the off week will help him when he has a full week off. These are two big games we need to win for that reason. Hopefully, we get healthier because we have a lot of guys that are close to coming back that are still hurt.

(on Derrick Morgan's status)

He did some work. We just have to see how he is. He's a guy that could be a lot better by Sunday. We just got to wait and see. He should be. To some degree, it's a matter of how effective he can be with the arm. When you pass rush, that's a big problem there because you're fending off linemen and so on. It's just something we'll probably have to wait until Sunday to work him out and see where he's at.

(on Kevin Walter's status)

He seems to be doing fine. That's something in the next few weeks we'll start seeing where he's at. I mean, so far, so good. He's progressing, but he still has some work to do.

(on whether Kevin Walter's recovery is going as planned)

Well, we knew he'd be out for the six (weeks), which we're obviously just about at. The question was, 'What's his health?' We've been healthy at receiver, which has been good. That's the other thing—we weren't sure where we'd be health-wise and how the fit would be. All those factors will start coming in probably in the next few weeks. He hasn't done enough to see where he's at physically. He's been doing his rehab and light things but not to the level of (where he's) ready to compete yet.
